Our Wedding Journal: November 2007

As it's very important to pray to your anchestors, we made a quick stop at my Grandpa's old house to pay our respects to my anchestors before we head on our journey's to Ben's house.

I was a little worried that some of the cars who's following us may get lost as it's not very near to travel from my house to my Grandpa's old house. Fortunately, everything was smooth and after a quick pray, off we go to the Groom's house!

At Grandpa's old house, sis is still trying to make sure I look the prettiest every sec of the day...;)

With a slight jam on the way, we managed to arrive on time at about 11am not missing the auspicious hour. I was feeling more and more nervous as the car drives closer to Ben's house. I kept thinking if there'll be any chance for me to drop by for a quick toilet break. I also need to touch up my face to not look so oily, but I left my powder with my fren. Luckily she managed to arrive before me, and before the bridal car drives into the long drive way, I managed to get the powder and touch up before I need to go down the car. ^-^

Dennis' baby boy, Lucas Mok was the one opening the bridal car door for us. After giving angpow, hand in hand, we walked into the house with Ben's relatives, my relatives..alot alot standing outside the house to greet us! It was overwhelming....Inside the house, all Ben's parents frens were already there, filling the whole house with cheers and laughters! While my 2 sisters were busy making sure all their assigned 'tasks' were executed, incl. my angpows, gifts, my wedding album, my gown :)

Time for prayers again before we begin the Tea Ceremony at the Groom's place. The tea ceremony was again full of joy and fun with all the new names. Ben's grandmom held our hands showering us with lotsa auspicious greetings! The tea ceremony also includes my mother in law's friends as they were so close as if it was their own son who's marrying.
